However, the worst incident which confirmed that we will never go back involved the rudeness and inappropriateness of the head vet nurse there. My cat gets stressed going to the vet (as do most cats), but on this occasion, he was more stressed than usual. They "took him out the back", I could hear growling, and he was brought back inside a net. When the nurse was putting him back in his carrier, she very rudely snapped at me "You have to be confident with your cat, or you're putting us all in danger." She then proceeded to throw him in the carrier and bang his paw with a tissue box until he pulled it inside. He continued growling until the second we got back to the car, at which point I opened the door of his carrier and he crawled out and curled up on my lap.

It was horribly inappropriate of her to imply that my cat is a generally aggressive pet and that I "should know how to deal with it" when he NEVER acts that way at home or around me. After talking to a vet nurse friend, she said that some vet clinics just DO NOT KNOW HOW TO DEAL WITH CATS and have no idea how to reduce stress for them. I will only be taking him to cat-only clinics from now on, because they understand the nuanced behaviour of these animals and show compassion and expertise in dealing with the stress that they feel.

I used to take my cat to this vet and I will never go back. On one occasion, they glanced at his teeth and said they were fine. After we asked them to recheck, they found that he had gingivitis and he had to have three teeth surgically removed because he would have been in a great deal of pain when eating. If we had not asked them to recheck, he would've been in pain for another year until his next check-up.

I took my cat for a check up today and was quite amazed at how expensive it was. Over $270 for sedation and a blood test. On top of that we were advised to give our cat Mertazipine which I presumed they would give us a script for.......NO....if we didn't want to pay $32 for 3 tablets, (you can get a pack of 30 at 15mg for $6.50 at chemist warehouse) I would have to pay $25 for a script, (outrageous) even though the consultation was today, still the same 24 hour timeline. I will never go back there and I will never recommend them to anyone.

Not the highest standard of personal care for animals or there owners from Vet Professionals in my experience.

I felt trapped when I received my bill. I wasn´t informed that the antibiotics my pets needed were almost $150. I wasn´t given the option of a prescription. My decision was to take them was based in the vet saying "they need them". I couldn´t imagine that 7.5mg of antibiotics would have that cost. Sure enough, I found the same brand, same, dose and same format in a pet pharmacy for $45, three times cheaper. I also found the same antibiotic in tablets for $2.5. Not giving option to the clients when they exist and charging for a product almost 300% of its sale price, shows a pretty good lack of ethics. I also want to say that the vet waived me two consultations after I was told before arranging my appointment that I would be charged half of the price I was asked after billing. Then I was very kindly offered to pay in installments as the bill still ended up being double of what I would have expected. For that I am grateful, yet I don´t think I will ever come back or recommend this place to anyone. Trapping clients into paying three times more for medicines for their beloved pets is a very ugly practice.

Had a terrible experience with one of the vets here when our much loved 14 year old Labrador was nearing the end of her life. He was incredibly insensitive and said one of my options was to 'give her a needle and put her in a black plastic bag that day'. I will never go back.
